Our Story
Our building has always served as a beacon for the community–a source of pride where all could experience welcome and innovative service. Opening in 1906 as Midland National Bank, the building was praised for its luxurious materials and innovative architecture. Over the years, the bank intentionally has stayed put and reimagined their services to invest in the downtown’s viability and stability.
Since our recent renovation, we have continued this tradition of providing a haven for the community. Our lobby serves as a space to gather and connect, for guests and locals alike. Nestle in by our fireplace with a cup of Spyhouse coffee, pull out your laptop and create your next big idea at our community table, or enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the local vibrancy. Also during the 20th century, the banking sector shortened their hours, creating the idiom “Banker’s Hours”. Here at Emery, we welcome all to work banker’s hours and enjoy a craft beer tasting after work. After all, you deserve it.
